In the final Broadway Grosses release before the presentation of the Tony Awards, over half of the productions saw larger crowds and the box office saw an increase of over five percent to bring in $36 million.

“The Lion King” continues it two million dollar ways and this week is joined by “Wicked” who came within a tick of matching the $2.09 million at the box office.  “Hamilton”, “Cabaret”, and “Merrily We Roll Along” round out the top five.  And “Uncle Vanya” joins the Million Dollar Club this week.

There were 19 of the 35 productions in the 90 percent club last week with the top five reaching at least 100 percent.  “An Enemy of the People” topped the list with 102.96 capacity.
