It’s the final race before the Championship race for the Craftsman Truck Series when they kick off a triple header weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway with the Baptist Health Cancer Care 200.
In a series that routinely sees more entries than starting spots, only 34 teams brought trucks to Florida for the final cut off race of the season. Among those drivers is IndyCar regular Marco Andretti who will be driving the number seven Spire Motorsports truck.
Corey Heim is the only one of the eight playoff drivers who has secured a spot in the Championship Four with a win at Bristol Motor Speedway last month. Currently Carson Hocevar, Nick Sanchez, and Christian Eckes are above the cut line; while Grant Enfinger, Ben Rhodes, Ty Majeski, and reigning champion Zane Smith are below the cut line.
Armani Williams is the first driver on the track to make a qualifying run and posted a time of 35. 312 seconds around the mile and a half track.
Brad Perez is the first driver to break the 34 second mark with a time of 33.326 seconds.
Stewart Friesen drops below the 33 second mark with a time of 32.806 seconds.
With a qualifying time of 32.319 seconds, Nick Sanchez put his number two truck on the pole. Carson Hocevar will start alongside on the front row.

A total of six drivers will have to start the race from the back of the field; Spencer Davis, Trevor Bayne, Jonathan Shafer, and Armani Williams after the crews made unapproved adjustments to the trucks with Tanner and Taylor Gray for missing driver intros.
Trevor Bayne did not make a qualifying run after a transmission issue in practice.
Stages one and two of the race are 30 laps each with stage three lasting 74 laps for a total of 134 laps around the mile and a half track. The drivers can run 50 to 55 laps on a single load of fuel.
Nick Sanchez brings the field down for the green flag start of the race from the outside lane with Carson Hocevar starting alongside. Drivers immediately spread out three wide across the track with Nick Sanchez getting out in front for the lead.
Lap two, Nick Sanchez leads the race with Ty Majeski in second; Carson Hocevar, Christian Eckes, and Grant Enfinger round out the top five.
Lap four, Nick Sanchez has a narrow lead on Corey Heim; Ty Majeski, Carson Hocevar, and Christian Eckes round out the top five.
Lap six, Nick Sanchez and Corey Heim battle for the lead with Heim taking the lead with an outside pass..
The top seven positions are all playoff drivers.
Lap seven, Corey Heim and Nick Sanchez continue to battle for the lead; with Ty Majeski, Carson Hocevar, and Zane Smith rounding out the top five.
Ben Rhodes in 22nd place is the only playoff driver not in the top 10.
Spencer Davis is off the track and returns five laps down.

Carson Hocevar has some debris on his front grille; his water temps are rising and is currently at 245 degrees.
Just five laps remain in stage one with Corey Heim leading the way with Ty Majeski, Zane Smith, Carson Hocevar, and Grant Enfinger rounding out the top five.
After having some major issues with the steering wheel not locking, Marco Andretti started the race back in the field and is in danger of going a lap down.
With 26 trucks on the lead lap Corey Heim wins stage one for his sixth stage win of the season.

Lap 43, Corey Heim has pulled out to a lead of nearly a second on Zane Smith; Ty Majeski, Carson Hocevar, and Stewart Friesen round out the top five.
Spencer Davis is off the track. There are 27 trucks on the lead lap.
Lap 46, Corey Heim has a lead of over a second on the second place driver. Carson Hocevar and Zane Smith battle for second.
Lapa 49, Corey Heim has increased his lead to over a second and a half on Carson Hocevar; Zane Smith, Ty Majeski, and Stewart Friesen round out the top five.
After some major adjustments to his truck during the pit stop, Ben Rhodes is now in the top 20 to put all eight of the playoff drivers in the top 20.
Spencer Boyd brings out the first caution flag for an on track incident on lap 53 when his truck is stopped on the track.
With five laps remaining in stage two, the field comes down pit road for adjustments and fresh tires. Corey Heim wins the race off of pit road.
After staying out on the track Tanner Gray brings the field down for the two lap shootout to end stage two. Corey Heim quicky moves up on fresh tires to take the lead with Zane Smith in second; Bayley Currey, Nick Sanchez, and Stewart Friesen round out the top five.
Grant Enfinger was charged with an uncontrolled tire and restarted the race form the back of the field.

Christian Eckes was charged with a restart violation and will not earn any stage points and he will have to restart the race from the back of the field.
Corey Heim brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three with Zane Smith alongside with 67 laps remaining in the race. Zane Smith jumps out for the lead from the inside lane.
Drivers are beginning to move up the track closer to the wall.
The caution flag comes out with 66 laps to go after Colby Howard and Hailie Deegan make contact and sends Howard into the wall.
NASCAR officials have held Hailie Deegan for two laps after too many crew members were over the wall making repairs while she was on the “crash clock”.
Zane Smith brings the field down for the green flag restart from the inside lane with Corey Heim alongside with 60 laps remaining in the race. Smith gets out in front for the lead with Bayley Currey taking second; Corey Heim, Carson Hocevar, and Nick Sanchez round out the top five.

Corey Heim is reporting a very tight condition; saying the truck is terrible and getting worse. He brings his truck down pit road with 40 laps to go.

With 36 laps to go, Grant Enfinger begins the cycle of green flag pit stops.
Christian Eckes was caught speeding on pit road and will have to serve a pass through penalty.
With 33 laps to go leader Zane Smith comes down pit road for service and gives the lead over to Ben Rhodes.
Ty Majeski had a slow pit stop with an air gun issue.

Earning his fourth win of the season, Carson Hocevar secures his spot in the Championship Four. Hocevar is running all over the field in celebration of his win.
The final four drivers that will compete for the championship at Phoenix are Corey Heim, Carson Hocevar, Ben Rhodes, and Grant Efinger. Zane Smith, Nick Sanchez, Christian Eckes, and Ty Majeski have all be eliminated.
