Over the years Sir Paul McCartney has demonstrated that he has many talents with his songwriting, composing, and playing numerous instruments; but he has another talent…that of photographer.  Sir Paul has a new book and exhibit coming out filled with photographs he took while on the road with The Beatles in 1963-64.

Speaking on the photographs Sir Paul said, “to look at the love and the wonder of what we went through that’s captured in a lot of these photographs is the whole thing. It’s what makes life great.”

“Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm” will be on exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London beginning June 28 and will run through September.  The never before seen photographs will mark the reopening of the Gallery and give a new perspective on what it was like to be a Beatle.

The book features 275 photographs from six cities – Liverpool, London, Paris, New York, Washington, D.C. and Miami – and features Beatle bandmates John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.

When the Covid pandemic hit in 2020 much of the world found that they had a great deal of time on their hands.  Sir Paul “discovered” a treasure trove of 35mm photographs in his archives – over a 1,000 of them!  He has taken some of those photographs and created the book “Eye of the Storm”.

Available for pre-order, the book is set for a June 13 release.
