The Paralympic games has less than 1,000 athletes participating in the games with many of them participating in several events. In the name of fairness, many of the sports are divided into several divisions to allow for athletes with various abilities.
On Saturday night, the U.S. sled hockey team played against the South Korean team where they secured their spot in the semi finals with a 9 to 1 win. The American team scored five points in the first period.
Surrounded by Chinese skiers, Oksana Masters earned a silver medal, continuing to add to her impressive collection.
The Chinese team is taking full advantage of home field advantage and continues to lead the medal count. They are still the only country to earn double digit medals.
