Last November Canadian born Folk singer Joni Mitchell celebrated her 75th birthday. To mark the occasion Brandi Carlile, Kris Kristofferson, and Joni herself performed a birthday concert. The event was recorded and in a one night event – “Joni 75: A Birthday Celebration” was aired in theatres across the nation.

While Joni herself seldom performs, her music lives on through avid fans and fellow musicians. Throughout her career, the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member has recorded 19 albums and has earned eight Grammy Awards.

Western New York musician Leah Zicari is one of those avid Joni Mitchell fans who is also helping to keep the music alive through her Ladies of the Canyon Series. On April 13 Leah and her band mates Theresa Quinn and Cathy Carfagna will perform the music of Carol King, Linda Ronstadt, and Joni Mitchell at the West Falls Center for the Arts in West Falls, New York – south of Buffalo.

Tickets are $10 each and are available at westfallsartcenter.org. All previous concerts have sold out.
