In the final day of competition for the 2018 Winter Paralympc Games in Pyeongchang Korea, the last of the medal events were held including the gold medal sled hockey game between the United States and Canada.

In a thrilling competition the game end in dramatic fashion – in overtime! Team Canada scored a goal in the first period and held of the American team…until less than one minute remaining in the game Declan Farmer tied it up and sent the game into overtime. Only three and a half minutes into the 15 minute overtime period Declan Farmer again scored to give the United States a hatrick in consecutive paralympic gold – their fourth overall.

Over the 10 day competition, the International Paralympc Committee handed out a total of 241 medals to athletes in 26 countries in seven different events. The United States led the way in the total number of gold medals with 13 and the total number of medals with 36.

The Canadian team earned a record number of 28 medals.

A total of nine countries earned more than 10 medals.
