Country music singer Daryle Singletary died suddenly in his Lebanon, Tennessee home February 12 at the age of 46. An official cause of death is not known at this time.

Speaking on Singletary, Country music legend Charlie Daniels said that Singletary sang Country music the way it was meant to be sung. Singletary was a traditional singer and not a part of the modern pop oriented Country music scene.

During his career Singletary has has performed with George Jones, Johnny Paycheck, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, Ricky Skaggs, and Vince Gill.. He gave his last performance on February 9 at the Rodeo Club in Dadeville, Alabama.

During his career, Singletary reached the top 40 of the Billboard Country music charts five times with three of those making it into the top five.

In 1995, Singletary played himself in an uncredited role on an episode of “Touched by an Angel”.

Daryle Bruce Singletary was born in 1971 in Cairo (pronounced Kay-ro), Georgia where he began singing gospel songs as a child.

He is survived by his second wife Holly, children – Jonah, Mercer, Nora, and Charlotte -, brother, and his parents.
