Actor, musician, and restaurateur Jon Paul Steuer died New Year’s Day in Portland, Oregon at the age of 33. An official cause of death has not been announced.

Steuer was a child actor who appeared in only a handful of productions but is best known for his role as the precocious son of Lieutenant Worf on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” Alexander Rozhenko. He was the first of four actors to take on the role when he was six years old.

Most recently, Steuer was the singer for the punk rock band P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S. He went by the name of Jonny P. Jewels. Prior to joining the band, formed the band Kill City Thrillers.

He was also the owner of a vegan restaurant in Portland, Oregon – Harvest at the Bindery.

Steuer made his acting debut when he was only four years old as Scotty Gilbert in an episode of “Day by Day”. From there he went in to appear in “Late for Dinner”, “Homefront”, “The Wonder Years”, “When Love Kills: The Seduction of John Hearn”, “Little Giants” and his final role in 73 episodes of “Grace Under Fire” as Quentin Kelly.

He was born on March 27, 1984 in Escondito, California.
